1. Introduction

Welcome to Empatheia Training Ltd. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all training courses, workshops, and related services (“Services”) provided by Empatheia Training Ltd (“we”, “our”, or “us”) to any client (“you” or “your”).

By booking or attending our Services, you confirm that you accept these Terms.

2. Services

Empatheia Training Ltd provides mental health awareness training through in-person and online delivery formats.

We reserve the right to amend course content and delivery to ensure compliance with best practice and regulatory guidance.

3. Bookings and Payment

  • All bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed upon receipt of payment, or a signed agreement for invoiced services.
  • Payment terms will be set out on your invoice.
  • Course prices are quoted exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

Client Cancellations:
  • Over three months before the course start date: full refund less a £25 banking fee.
  • One to three months before the course start date: 75% refund less a £25 banking fee.
  • Less than one month before the course start date: 75% refund less a £25 banking fee and material costs.
  • Within one week of the course start date: no refund issued.
Rescheduling:
  • Requests must be made at least 7 working days before the course date.
  • Course must be attended within 6 months of the original date.
  • Rescheduling is subject to availability.
Processing of Refunds:

Approved refunds will be processed within 30 days of confirmation.

Provider Cancellations:

If Empatheia Training Ltd cancels a course, a full refund or an alternative date will be offered.

5. Client Responsibilities

  • Ensure all participants behave respectfully and professionally during training.
  • Participants must not record, reproduce, or distribute training content without permission.
  • We may remove disruptive participants from the session.

6. Confidentiality and Safeguarding

  • We maintain a safe and confidential environment.
  • Disclosures may occur if there is a legal or safeguarding requirement.

7. Intellectual Property

  • All content remains the property of Empatheia Training Ltd or MHFA England.
  • Materials must not be copied or distributed without written consent.

8. Limitations of Service

  • Training provides awareness and education, not clinical advice or therapy.
  • We are not liable for decisions made based on training content.

9. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our control (e.g., illness, strikes, disasters).

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will fall under their jurisdiction.

11. Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms. Changes will be published on our website and take effect immediately.
